Repairs & Mods
Our instruments and amplifiers are often considered lifetime investments for both professional use and personal enjoyment. After awhile, you may find that you want to change the pickups on your guitars, fix a little ding on the finish, change the bridge, or countless other modifications that can be performed on your Suhr instrument. We only service and perform mods on our instruments only. Please do not enquire about servicing and performing modifications on non-Suhr instruments. We have our hands full working on our instruments alone!
Please contact us regarding the work done on your Suhr instrument and we’ll schedule the time for it to be sent to our facility. Depending on the work needed to be performed, the turnaround time can range from 2~8 weeks. You will need to speak to a Suhr representative about scheduling your Suhr instrument to be sent back for repairs or mods and get an RA number before you can ship it to us. Please include a note with your instrument with all the contact info necessary and a detailed list of the work that needs to be performed. Once we receive your instrument, we will contact you within 7 days of the receipt of the instrument and advise you of the status and the quote for the estimated time of completion and fees, including return shipping.
SSC Retrofit on Our Classic Guitars Top
We offer the installation of the revolutionary SSC System on our Classic guitars. This retrofit is not available on our Standard and Classic T models. The price for the SSC Retrofit is $490 plus shipping. If you own an older Classic guitar with 2 or more single-coil pickups and want to benefit from its incredible hum-reduction system without affecting the tone of our highly-touted pickups, send it in for the most noticeable improvement you can make to your instrument. The turnaround time is 2~4 weeks once we receive the guitar. Once you get the SSC installed, you’ll wonder how you’ve played all this time without it!
Plek Job Top
Our Plek Pro machine assures you of the most consistent and superb fret job possible. We are proud to offer this service on all of our pre-owned older instruments as well as using it for our production of Custom and Pro Series guitars. The following is a breakdown of our Plek Pro service pricing:
Estimate – Scan & Setup – Non-refundable: $75 *This includes neck adjustment and intonation setup Plek & Setup: $150 New nut – add to the price $40 Refret, Plek and New Nut $325 Refret, Plek and New Nut – refinish Fingerboard $375
- The above prices are estimated prices.
- All guitars will be estimated and a confirmed quote will be e-mailed to you for approval.
- The estimate is non-refundable cost.
- If your guitar only needs a Plek & Setup, you will only be charged the Plek & Setup cost.
- We won’t charge extra for Stainless Steel frets.
- Return shipping costs are added to the above prices.
