These clips are of Al Estrada performing with the Van Halen tribute band, Eruption. Al is playing his Suhr Custom Classic with the old EVH paint job. The guitar is made of heavyweight Ash (his preference) and one-piece Maple neck. It is outfitted with the Floyd Rose Original locking trem system with the D-Tuna and the Suhr SSV pickup in the bridge position.
The amp is the OD-100 Classic on CH2 with the gain set on 8, treble on 8, mids on 6, the bass set on 2, and the level a little over 3. The effects were all in front of the amp and consisted of the MXR Micro Amp, MXR Phase 90, MXR Flanger and the Fulltone Tube Tape Echo. The Micro Amp is set all the way down and is used more as a buffer to prevent signal loss through the signal chain going to the amp. www.EruptionTribute.com

Kirk Fletcher of the Fabulous Thunderbirds is the best kept secret in the world of blues. Described as a "ferocious monster" by the likes of Mike Landau and Scott Henderson, Kirk draws from the heritage of blues legends such as Albert King and Albert Collins and expands from there with amazing fluid technique, deep harmonic knowledge and melodic creativity of a seasoned jazzman and humungous fat tone.
In the following video clip linked from YouTube, Kirk shows you an inkling of his blues virtuosity. Kirk owns various Suhr guitars and his number one axe is this Candy Apple Red Classic with Alder body, Maple neck with Indian Rosewood board, Even C Fat shape, Gotoh 1088 bridge, Gotoh Kluson tuners, and the V60LP single-coils with the SSC System. Kirk also owns the OD-100 Classic outfitted 6L6 output tubes and a matching CAA 2x12 cabinet.

Rob Marcello Top
The following video clips are from a Suhr guitars and amps clinic held at Wild West Guitars on July 22, 2006 in Riverside, CA. The guitar used on these performances is a Suhr Classic with Alder body, one-piece Maple neck with a custom Even C Extra Slim shape, 10-14" compound radius, Heavy SS frets, Floyd Rose, 1.650" nut width, SSH+ humbucker in the bridge position, V54 in the middle, and a DiMarzio Fast Track2 in the neck position. Rob has since replaced the DiMarzio pickup with another V54. The guitar is also equipped with the SSC System.

The amp used on 'Old School' and 'Insomnia' is the OD-100SE head, our highest gain amp. The cabinet is a Suhr/CAA 4x12 loaded with Celestion V30 speakers. Rob used the Xotic BB Preamp overdrive pedal for a little “kick” or solo boost but the tone doesn't change by engaging or disengaging the pedal. Rob also had a Boss Wah pedal in the front as well and you can see Rob engage it briefly on 'Too Many Notes...' There were also Boss chorus and delay pedals in the effects loop but they were not used in these clips at all.
The amp used on the final track 'Too Many Notes for the Sake of It' is the OD-100 Standard. You will notice that it sounds quite different from the OD-100SE played on 'Old School' and 'Insomnia'.
We'd like to thank Rob Marcello and Wild West Guitars for making this a most fun and informative clinic for guitar and tone fans in Southern California. You can find out more about Rob Marcello at his website: www.robmarcello.net

On the following 9 minute video clip, Peter Thorn (Jewel, Courtney Love) demonstrates the wide range of great sounds of the Badger 18w head. Peter plays a variety of guitars to give you an idea of how each guitar interacts with the Badger and how it preserves the sonic characteristics of each guitar. Peter also demonstrates the extremely effective Power Scaling feature which allows you to get power tube saturation at bedroom volume levels without sacrificing tonal qualities or the tactile response of the amp and the tube-buffered effects loop.
